凯恩日记 Cain’s Journal（一）

以下是我对暴雪网站公布的迪卡凯恩日记的翻译。不知道对是不对，希望喜欢暗黑的网友给我指教。

第一篇：15th day of Jerharan, 1265 Anno Kehjistani

The events of the past year are unbelievable and have driven me to write again me thoughts. No matter how hard I try, The facts are unavoidable: our King Leoric has gone mad, lashing out in crazed frenzy at the abduction of his son, Albrecht, and out steady losses in the ill-advised war against Westmarch, leading to an open revolt among his guards.There is something almost palpable in the air. It feels like… terror.

去年发生的事真让人难以置信，我应该把它写下来。无论我怎样努力，事情还是无法避免地发生了：我们的国王Leoric疯了，对于儿子Albrecht被诱拐的事情震怒不已，大肆杀戮；他很不理智地发动了对西马奇的战争，并且战败，导致了军队的公开反叛。空气里毫无疑问地弥漫着什么东西，那是……恐惧。

第二篇：1st day of Damhar, 1265 Anna Kehjistani

Can the old story be true – can the tales of the brave Horadrim and the lords of Burning Hells be more than a legend, a fairytale told to me by my mother?

那老故事是真的吗？那勇敢的赫拉迪姆以及燃烧地狱之王的故事是否只是一个传说，只是妈妈讲给我听的一个童话？

I used to thrive on those tales of bravery and heroism. I’d imagine myself as one of them: the mysterious Horadrim led by the inscrutable Tal Rasha! I was so proud to be the “Last of the Horadrim”, the one who would travel the world fighting evil wherever it dwelt. Ah, the boundless energy of youth.

我一直喜欢勇士和英雄故事传说。我经常把自己想象成他们的一员：一个在神秘莫测的塔·拉夏领导下的神秘的赫拉迪姆成员！我非常骄傲能够成为“最后的赫拉迪姆”，能够走遍世界与每个地方的恶魔战斗。啊，我是这么的年轻，精力充沛！

Could there be some basis in truth to all these tales? The signs all point to this, but how is someone with my education, my knowledge, to take these tales seriously?

但那些传说到底有没有事实依据呢？所有的迹象都指向这一点，但像拥有我这样教育和知识的人，该怎样严肃认真地看待它们呢？

Is there really some dark entity buried beneath our town? If only my aging mind could remember the tales as vividly as I did in my younger days?

是否真的有一些黑暗可怕的东西掩埋在我们的小镇之下？是否只有我这经过日月积淀的记忆才能栩栩如生地回忆起那些传说，宛如幼时亲身经历过的一样？

第三篇：12th day of Damhar, 1265 Anno Kehjistan

I AM a fool. If I had acted sooner, if I had voiced my concerns, they would not be dead; Farnham would not be the drunken sot he now is. Lazarus, supposed Archbishop of Light, has lured a group of villagers to their horrific and under the guise of searching for the king’s missing son. Is he the architect of the evil that has befallen the town, or simply an unwitting pawn?

我是个傻瓜！如果我早一点行动，早一点把我的忧虑说出来，他们也许就不会死；费兰姆（Farnham）也就不会像现在这样成为一个醉鬼。Lazarus，传说中的“光明”大主教，以寻找国王失踪的儿子的名义，诱使一群村民走向了恐惧。他到底是把恶魔引到镇上的罪魁祸首，还是仅仅是一个毫不知情的卒子？

The nights are long, and as I sit and listen to the hellish drones emanating from the cathedral, I begin to see my path clearly before me.I shall return to the texts. There must be an answer, a way to defeat this evil that torments us.

长夜漫漫，我坐在那里听着从大教堂里发出来的恐怖的嗡嗡声，终于看清摆在我前面的路。我应该回到魔法书中。那里一定会有答案，有打败折磨着我们的恶魔的方法。
